Day 1, Tuesday: Welcome to Iceland

The Flybus shuttle brings you from Keflavík International airport to Reykjavík where you spend the first night in Iceland. We provide you with ideas how to explore Iceland's capital on your own. (O)

Day 2, Wednesday: Bird Watching Cruise & Volcano Hike

We travel to West Iceland for a 2-hour bird watching cruise between the uncountable islands of Breiđarfjörđur bay. In the afternoon we follow the beautiful coastline of the Snćfellsnes Peninsula and climb the Grábrók volcano crater. Next stop is at Europe's most powerful hot spring. We spend 2 nights in Húsafell, West Iceland. (B,O)

Day 3, Thursday: Waterfalls & Optional Ice Cave Tour

We visit the magnificent Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls. Afternoon free for optional activities. You can join a hike with your guide or an optional, once-in-a-lifetime tour to visit the man-made ice tunnel and caves located on one of Europe's largest glaciers, Langjökull. (B,O)

Day 4, Friday: Highlands Roads, National Park & Geysers

The gravel mountain road Kaldidalur takes us to Ţingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and an area of exceptional geological and historical interest. Further east we visit the famous Geysir, the most energetic spouting hot spring in Iceland. We stay 2 nights at the Kerlingarfjöll Mountain Lodge, somewhere in the middle of nowhere. (B,O)

Day 5, Saturday: Exploring the Interior Highlands of Iceland

The Kerlingarfjöll mountain massif is colorful and rich in contrasts with its peaks and valleys, glaciers and snowfields and all that lively geothermal activity, tempting both hikers and photographers alike. We hike about 2 hours and discover fuming steam vents, boiling mud pots and hot streams close to snow and ice. In the afternoon we travel to Hveravellir or "The Hot Spring Fields", which appear like an oasis in this vast and barren highlands of Central Iceland. It is awesome sitting in a natural hot pool in the wilderness, in between two of Iceland's glaciers, surrounded by multi-colored boiling mud pools, huffing and puffing fumaroles and spectacular azure hot springs. (B,O)

Day 6, Sunday: Land of Water and Lava

Our first stop is at the spectacular Gullfoss waterfall. Afterwards we soak and relax in the "Secret Lagoon", a natural geothermal spring. We continue alongside the Hekla volcano and visit the Hjálparfoss waterfall in Ţjórsárdalur valley. Nearby we explore the Viking farm at Stöng and enjoy a leisurely hike to Gjáin, a green oasis in an otherwise rocky, barren moonlike landscape. We spend 2 nights in Hella, South Iceland. (B,O)

Day 7, Monday: Landmannalaugar

Today we explore a different part of the interior highlands of Iceland. Landmannalaugar is a paradise of raw nature, shapes and colours. We hike in a spectacular region with rough lava fields, hot springs and fascinating rhyolite mountains with an incredible spectrum of colors. There is also a natural geothermal stream where you can enjoy a hot bath. (B,O)

Day 8, Tuesday: South Iceland

On the way towards Vatnajökull National Park we see two famous waterfalls, Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, and Iceland's past comes alive at the Skógar folk museum with its turf houses. At the seaside, you can stroll on the black lava beach to see the amazing bird cliffs in Vík. We spend 2 nights at Hotel Glacier Lagoon. (B,O)

Day 9, Wednesday: Vatnajokull National Park & Glacier Lagoon

Skaftafell area has a lot to offer for nature lovers. In the morning you may join a hike to Svartifoss waterfall with your tour guide or participate in an optional glacier walk on Svínafellsjökull glacier. In the afternoon we visit Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and enjoy a boat ride amongst the floating icebergs. (B,O)

Day 10, Thursday: Canyon & Horses

On our way back to Reykjavík we hike along Fjađrárgljúfur, a spectacular and massive canyon which has sheer walls, and is somewhat serpentine and narrow. Next stop is Reynisfjara, a black pebble beach that features amazing cliffs of regular basalt columns resembling a rocky step pyramid. Before we arrive in Iceland's capital we enjoy a show featuring the Icelandic horse. (B,O)

Day 11, Friday: Departure Home

The Flybus airport shuttle picks you up at your hotel and takes you to Keflavik airport. (B)
