ITINERARY

Day 1, Monday, arrive Vienna
You will be met and transferred to your hotel. Then, your time is free to start discovering the city's delights, from shopping to parks to pastries. Later, enjoy dinner in typical heurigen, or wine tavern, in Grinzig, just outside of Vienna. (D,O) 

Day 2, Tuesday, in Vienna
Our morning sightseeing tour features the Hofburg Palace, once the seat of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the Belvedere Palace, views of Prater amusement park, UN buildings, St. Stephen's Cathedral and other vivid reminders of the city's imperial history. After a free afternoon, enjoy an evening concert of Strauss' and Mozart's music. (B,O)

Day 3, Wednesday, in Vienna
Visit the Kunsthistorishe Museum this morning for a guided tour. The museum houses outstanding collections or art, sculpture, coins, armor, musical instruments, and more. The rest of the day is at leisure. (B,O)

Day 4, Thursday, to Budapest
This morning we motor eastbound (by motor coach) towards Budapest, often called “The Paris of the East”. Afternoon free time for independent activities or optional excursions. (B,O)

Day 5, Friday, in Budapest
Set on opposite banks of the Danube River, the former cities of Buda and Pest are linked by a series of graceful bridges. Our morning sightseeing tour includes views of the decorative Parliament building, seat of the National Assembly; Vaci Utca, a pedestrian street lined with shops and restaurants; Heroes' Square with the Millennium Memorial, 118 foot high Corinthian column dedicated to the Roman Catholic Church, and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The balance of the day is at leisure. (B,O)

Day 6, Saturday, in Budapest
Morning sightseeing tour includes Castle Hill area, the 13th century Matthias Church, Fisherman's Bastion and Royal Palace. Afternoon is free for last minute shopping or independent exploration. Tonight, enjoy dinner with entertainment in a typical Csarda Restaurant, or tavern, restaurant. (B,D,O)

Day 7, Sunday, depart Budapest
