Day 1: Toulouse - Carcassonne

Arrival in Toulouse and welcome by your driver guide. Transfer to Carcassonne. Guided tour of the Mediaeval Citadel of Carcassonne, Unesco Heritage Site. Dinner and overnight in Carcassonne. (D,O)

Day 2: Full day tour vineyards

Breakfast at your hotel. Pick up at your hotel by your driver-guide and short drive to the Château Auzias in Pennautier for a guided visit of the vineyards and winery. This chateau is "certainly one of the greatest private vineyard in the Languedoc region thanks to its 160 hectares”. Wine tasting session in the wine cellars. Suggested lunch at the restaurant au Château Pennautier, followed by a visit of the wine cellars. Drive across Carcassonne to Minerve, located at the foothills of the Black Mountain. You will visit the fortified medieval village perched on a naturally defended rocky peninsula high above a canyon. Then you will enjoy a visit & wine tasting session in the wine cellars of Ostal Cazes in La Livinière. The owners are passionate about wine and have devoted themselves to researching and developing its quality. Back to Carcassonne. Dinner in a traditional restaurant. Overnight at your hotel in Carcassonne. (D,O)


Day 3: Cahors - St. Beauzeil 

Breakfast at your hotel. Pick up at your hotel by your driver-guide and departure for Cahors, city with a prosperous past with the famous Pont Valentré, fortified work of art with three towers. This afternoon visit and wine tasting at Chateau Lagrezette in the Cahors vineyards. This château was rediscovered by Alain Dominique Perrin in 1979. His love for the region and for wines that symbolize the art of living, culture and tradition, has helped him to develop the powerful, generous, elegant and refined vintages of Château Lagrézette. Transfer to the Quercy region and settle into your hotel. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in St. Beauzeil. (B,D,O)


Day 4: Cooking Class

Breakfast at your hotel. After breakfast the chef welcomes you into his kitchen for a Hands-On Cooking Class about the preparation and service of foie gras, fish or dessert. For lunch you will enjoy the fruit of your own labor! Transfer to the Souleilles Farm and its Foie Gras Museum which is the only one of its kind in France. It traces the history of Foie Gras which has been one of the high points of gastronomy throughout the centuries. Back to your hotel. This evening will be devoted to the particularities of the Cahors wines. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Saint-Beauzeil. (B,D,O)

Day 5: Lascaux II - Sarlat

Breakfast at your hotel. Pick up at your hotel by your driver-guide and departure for Lascaux II, where the cream of Europe's cave paintings are displayed. Then your guide will drive you to Sarlat, the capital of Black Périgord and exceptionally well-preserved city. Dinner in a local restaurant & overnight in Sarlat. (B,D,O)

Day 6: Saint Emilion - Bordeaux

Breakfast at your hotel. Pick up at your hotel by your driver-guide and departure for St-Emilion. Visit & wine tasting at Château Ferrand, Grand Cru classé of Saint Emilion. Visit St Emilion, mediaeval city, UNESCO world heritage site and one of the centers of Bordeaux wine-making. Transfer to Bordeaux. During the afternoon your guide will take you on a city tour to visit its main monuments and the old town. Overnight in Bordeaux. (B,D,O)

Day 7: Full day tour Medoc

Breakfast at your hotel. Pick up at your hotel by your driver-guide and departure for the famous 'Route des vins' to discover some of the most prestigious names and châteaux. From Pauillac to Margaux, scattered along the Gironde river, you'll visit or drive through some of the most prestigious locations. Of course, wine tasting sessions will also be on your program today ! You will start by Chateau Haut Brion in Grand Cru Classé in Pessac Leognan, then Chateau Pontet Canet Grand Cru Classé in Pauillac. You tour ends by Chateau Rozan Gassies Grand Cru Classé in Margaux. Return to Bordeaux. Tonight, enjoy a gourmet dinner. Overnight in Bordeaux. (B,D,O)

Day 8: Bordeaux
