ITINERARY

Day 1: Thursday - Arrive Zagreb

You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. (D,O)

Day 2: Friday - Zagreb

A morning sightseeing tour will take you along the historic Upper Town. See St. Mark's Church, St. Catherine's Church, the Cathedral, the Parliament and the Government Palace. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the winding streets of the old town or take an optional excursion to the countryside. (B,O)

Day 3: Saturday - Zagreb to Plitvice Lakes and Split

Journey south, and visit Plitvice Lakes National Park, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Have your camera ready and take a walking tour around several of the lower lakes. On to Split and the port to embark on your yacht. Later, gather with your fellow "sailors" for a Welcome Reception on board. (B,WR,O)

Day 4: Sunday - Split - Bol - Stari Grad

Morning guided walking tour of Split shows us the historic inner city, built around the Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. See the remnants of Split’s Roman heritage, it’s Renaissance and Gothic structures, Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle, and the Cathedral. Set sail towards Bol, a small town on island Brac, for a swim at the Golden Horn. Enjoy the 1740-foot-long golden pebble beach, said to be the best in Croatia. It is unique in that it changes shape and position depending on the winds. Afterwards head to Hvar, one of the most popular islands in the Adriatic and a meeting point for the international jetset. The “Croatian Madeira” is also one of the longest islands stretching along the shores of Croatia. Spend evening and night at Stari Grad, one of the oldest towns in Europe. (B,L,O)

Day 5: Monday - Stari Grad - Hvar - Vis

Quick sail towards town of Hvar for a sightseeing tour featuring the first public theatre in Europe (older than Shakespeare’s theatre in the UK), the Franciscan Monastery and many more historical sights. Cruise towards Island of Vis. The town Vis, the antique Issa, was founded around 397 B.C. Our tour of Vis features the town’s waterfront. Evening at leisure. (B,L,O)

Day 6: Tuesday - Vis - Vela Luka

After breakfast set sail for Korcula Island, thought to be the birthplace of the famous explorer Marco Polo. Our port of call for the day is Vela Luka (the “big harbor”) town, dating back to pre-historic times. After lunch onboard, disembark in Vela Luka and depart for an afternoon ‘Korcula island tour’, featuring the visit of the olive oil factory, Barilo ethno museum and local winery to taste some local wine and cheese. Return to your ship, for evening at leisure. (B,L,O)

Day 7: Wednesday - Vela Luka - Korcula

There will be some time for swimming before we continue our cruise, heading for Korcula town. Take a walking tour through its narrow, cobbled streets and visit the majestic Gothic Baroque Cathedral of St. Mark. Your evening is free to discover the town and enjoy dinner on your own at one of many local restaurants. (B,L,O)

Day 8: Thursday - Korcula - Mljet

Today we set sail for Mljet Island. Mljet National Park features five types of forest, many species of birds, and two deep lakes, Veliko Jezero (Big Lake) and Malo Jezero (Small Lake). This lovely island was supposedly a favorite holiday spot for the Greek hero Ulysses! Captain’s dinner with live entertainment aboard our ship tonight. (B,L,D,O)

Day 9: Friday - Mljet - Dubrovnik

In the morning sail to Dubrovnik, so called “Pearl of the Adriatic”, a UNESCO World Heritage site. While in Dubrovnik, take a walking tour of the old town and visit the Rector’s Palace and Franciscan Monastery with its Pharmacy. Remainder of the day is free; perhaps discover this lovely city on own. (B,L,O)

Day 10: Saturday - Dubrovnik

Disembark after breakfast. You will be transferred to Dubrovnik airport for your flight home. (B)
