Day 1: Maun, Botswana
On arrival Maun International Airport, you will meet your driver/guide for a short transfer to your lodge. The lodge is located East of Maun on the shaded banks of the Thamalakane River. All rooms are air conditioned with en-suite bathrooms, extensive bouquet of satellite television, tea and coffee facilities and laundry services. At 16h30 (4:30pm) group meets in reception and departs for a 1-hour afternoon sunset cruise on the Thamalakane River. Take along your warm clothing. See the abundance of bird life and the occasional hippo & crocodile visitor as you make your way past the delta speargrass & papyrus. (D,O)

Day 2: Okavango Pan Handle, Botswana
This morning (optional tour not included in package price) you have the opportunity to view the Okavango Delta from an eagle's perspective by going on a breathtaking one hour private charter flight, pre-booking before departure is essential to ensure availability. Those early birds in the group, not taking the delta flight, can take this opportunity to walk through the town of Maun. Once regrouped after breakfast, we depart Maun and travel northwesterly along the panhandle of the Okavango Delta. We will spend the next 2 nights alongside the Okavango River. Lawdons Lodge is situated in the western panhandle region of the Okavango Delta near Shakawe. This part of Botswana is famous for prolific wildlife, birds and fish. (B,D,O)

Day 3: Okavango Pan Handle, Botswana
For the adventurous & ardent photographers (optional excursion not included in package price), a mokoro day trip can be enjoyed. Please note that this is an optional activity and is at a discounted rate as you will not be back in time for the sundowner cruise from Lawdons. Lunch is included on the mokoro trip, as well as the return transfers to the mokoro boating station. The rest of the group will enjoy a day at leisure, either around the pool, checking off birds on your list or taking a walk along the banks of the river. Late afternoon, we enjoy a sundowner cruise on the Okavanago River. (B,D,O)

Day 4: Caprivi, Namibia
Time to change countries! We cross the border post between Botswana and Namibia and enter the Mahango National Park to enjoy a game drive with our vehicle. Rare species found here include bushbuck, reedbuck, lechwe, tsessebe, oribi and sitatunga. On to Popa Falls, where we will take a short walk to view the falls, and then we enter the Caprivi Strip, bordered by Angola, Zambia, Botswana and Zimbabwe and surrounded by four mighty rivers, namely The Chobe, Kwando, Linyanti and the Zambezi. Our accommodation is set on the banks of the Kwando River. Accommodation at Camp Kwando will be in the Island Tents that are built on poles and overlooking the river, allowing you to do some fishing off your own deck. Each has thatch roofs and has an open sky ensuite bathroom. Overnight Camp Kwando. (B,D,O)

Day 5: Caprivi, Namibia
This morning we will enjoy a fantastic game drive. The lodge's specially equipped ten seater land rover allows comfortable game drives in the neighboring national parks. Included in the game drive is a relaxing break where drinks and snacks are served. Will will also enjoy insightful traditional village tour in the village next to Camp Kwando, where most of the staff comes from. They will show you their fishing and hunting techniques as well as their traditional day to day life. During the visit, the local Medicine man will also show you what dances are used to cure illnesses and other problems. (B,D,O)

Optional boat trip - The lodge as its own 14 seater boat that takes trips on the Kwando River. The boat leave for game cruises early in the morning or just before sunset.

Day 6 and 7: Chobe, Botswana
We will be entering Botswana via the Ngoma border post. Due to the lodge’s close proximity to the Chobe National Park, you will have the opportunity to witness the amazing spectacle of the largest concentration of elephants in Africa within minutes of the lodge. Mowana Safari Lodge is situated in Kasane on the banks of Chobe River and sharing a border with Chobe National Park. Right on the doorstep where the four African countries of Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Zambia meet. While at the lodge, we will enjoy an unforgettable game drive in Chobe National Park and a breathtaking sunset cruise on the Chobe River, both provide the finest game viewing experience in the region. Day 8 and 9: Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
After a memorable stay in Chobe, we are now en-route to one of the seven natural wonders of the world ... Victoria Falls! Shortly before the mighty Zambezi River thunders over Victoria Falls, lies a tranquil spot on the riverbank where life takes on a different pace. Here you can experience the river as it really is, under the trees, in harmony with nature. You can feel as refreshed as the resort itself, at the finest location Victoria Falls has to offer. The spirit of the Zambezi awaits at the A’Zambezi River Lodge where luxury and style become one. With a view of the river, all the rooms also include air conditioning, mosquito nets, satellite TV, telephone, in room safe, hairdryer, mini bars & in-room tea and coffee facilities. While visiting this world wonder we will experience the Falls up close by taking part in a guided tour of the Falls and Rainforest. We will spend our final evening at the Boma, place of eating. The Boma provides a unique cultural experience that bombards the senses with the tastes, sights, sounds and smells of Africa – together with the warmth and hospitality of Zimbabwe and its people. While at the Falls there are a few optional activities you can choose from (all should be pre-booked to ensure availability):

· Flight of the Angles - This is an exhilarating 13 minute helicopter experience with great views of the Victoria Falls, the gorges and views upstream of the Zambezi river. 
· Elephant back safari - Seated comfortably on the back of natures true "king of the beasts", experience an age old tradition whilst silently exploring the majestic grasslands of Victoria Falls National Park and marvel at the spectacular scenery of Masuwe river. 
· Lion walk - Upon arrival, drinks are served – after which the guide will give a short introductory talk and a brief on all safety aspects. Guests are then taken to a designated area to meet both lions and lion handlers and then the walking safari begins! Duration of 3 hours. 
· Sundowner cruise on the Zambezi river above the Falls, including drinks and snacks.

Day 10: Hwange, Zimbabwe
With the Vic Falls in our rear view mirror, we make our way to towards Hwange National Park. Hwange National Park is one of Africa's finest havens for wildlife, covers just over 14 600 square kilometers. It is home to vast herds of elephant, buffalo, zebra and has a very large concentration of giraffe. It is also home to many predators and endangered species plus very large and varied birdlife. The gateway to Zimbabwe's untouched paradise, Hwange Safari Lodge provides a comfortable base from which to explore the bush in all its majesty. Situated on the border of Zimbabwe's largest National Park, Hwange Safari Lodge offers a host of general and specialist bush excursions with professional guides. All rooms have wide windows that look out onto views of either the pool area and watering hole or the natural savanna bush where the occasional bull elephant can be seen lingering in the shade of the trees. Only selected rooms have televisions, in response to the express need of guests for a peaceful environment in which to get in touch with nature. Day 11: Masvingo, Zimbabwe
Our journey continues to Bulawayo, second largest city of Zimbabwe, where we will stop for lunch (own account). After lunch, we travel to Masvingo, and the Lake Kyle National park. The majestic Lodge at the Ancient City sits spectacularly on a granite ridge, within the shadows of the iconic Great Zimbabwe national monument, offering its guests a royal level of comfort and hospitality upon which the ancestors would surely have nodded in approval. Day 12: Masvingo, Zimbabwe
Our day begins with a trip to Great Zimbabwe. Great Zimbabwe is a ruined city that was once the capital of the Kingdom of Zimbabwe, which existed during the country’s Late Iron Age. Great Zimbabwe acted as a royal palace for the Zimbabwean monarch and was eventually abandoned, and fell into ruin, first being encountered by Europeans in the early 16th century. In the afternoon we will take a scenic drive to view the impressive dam wall of Lake Kyle. Here we will visit and learn more about the tragic story of the small chapel, lovingly built by the water monitor for his only daughter. Overnight at Lodge at The Ancient City. (B,D,O)

Day 13: Louis Trichardt, South Africa
After crossing the border between Zimbabwe and South-Africa, we spend our last night at the eco-friendly Mashovhela Lodge, in the Morning Sun Nature Reserve. Tucked away in a steep valley, surrounded by impressive rocky outcrops, on the site of an abandoned Venda settlement, lies the small lodge which gets its name from the sacred Mashovhela rock pool, "Place where the drums beat". The ten cozy rooms, restaurant, cocktail bar, conference venue, boma, swimming pool, arts and crafts shop where all built to minimize the ecological footprint and are run on a sustainable energy program. Day 14: Johannesburg, South Africa
The last day of our unforgettable journey has arrived. We enjoy a final delicious breakfast together before departing to Johannesburg. (B)
